One of RSN’s new members, Tim Carroll of Fuquay-Varina, NC was recently featured in an article on Page 2 of the monthly NCDOT Rail Division The Rail Report.  Tim was working the Fayetteville Amtrak station in December 2015 when he noticed sparks and smoke from one of the wheels of a northbound CSXT freight train. Tim notified their dispatcher in Florence, South Carolina and CSXT officials stopped the train immediately.
